Sennheiser MD-421

I have a Sennheiser MD-421 and I do not have a manual. How are the settings for the on the Bass roll off set up?

Thanks, but I have been to their site before and it was not helpful then.
Let say I am looking from the rear of the mic, if I turn the selector clockwise, am I increasing or decreasing the freq of the bass roll off?

Another newbie question, is this a side address mic or should I point it straight at the sound source?

V is for voice, maximum rolloff.
Everything in the middle is different gradations of rolloff
