I know how to up- and download mp3s to and from sites designed for that, but how do you email an mp3 to someone so you can both work on it? Isn't that too big a file for the average email program to handle?

Depending on your ISP, sometimes email attachments are capped out a certain size, 1MB 2MB etc. Email isn't really the best way to send files back and forth anyway, especially if both parties are on modem. You should have some free storage space included with your Internet account. It might be easiest to upload your mp3 to that site, via an FTP program http://www.cuteftp.com This way the file can be downloaded as required, and not tie up either receivers email program. 5MB of storage the common amount included with a dial-up account. If that isn't enough you may want to use one of the unreliable free storage sites, like freedrive, xdrive etc.

Yeah man, get some space with your ISP. It is by and far the most effective method of getting shit up reliably and quickly. First of all your upload will be quick because you're directly connected to the ISP. And downloads will be quick and reliable because most ISP's don't overdo the web hosting angle. These free space services are always pushing the red line between costs and service.

I guess you are in singapore so ISP's might be different, but you can usually talk them into giving you upwards of 20MB or more if you just threaten to leave. It's time the ISP came out of the dark ages anyway.

As Emeric basically said, forget about using email for this. Even if you're lucky and have some lax size restrictions, most mail servers are given such low priority that it'll take you 45 minutes to download a measly 3MB MP3.
