Yeah. I suggested that once to you, didn't I?
Nope.

The other thing about the 1680 (not sure about the 18xx's) is that you have to press 'shift something' to be able to pan the tracks. Annoying if you are doing some psychedelic pan back and forth at mixdown. Automix was supposed to handle that, but that can be a pisser to get to work properly.
That's one of the reasons I returned the 1680 I bought, and got the 880EX instead. I just have to have real live pan pots.

Ah well, I did. You posted in the Cave about wanting more tracks, and I suggested it. Yeah, the pan pot thing is lame too.

Methinks your mind is a little more deserted than you thinks...

 :p

Well, considering I’ve had Cakewalk since before I had a VS880EX, which gives me many more tracks than any Roland unit, and have always been fully aware of the midi sync between the VS and the computer, I seriously doubt if I was ever in need of more tracks. The most tracks I’ve ever used at once total 10, which were on my computer. And if you will notice, sir…that would read, “the desert of ‘your’ mind”…my mind sits in a cool blue oasis. ;)

Ah well, I know I did suggest you buy another 880EX rather than whatever it is you were enquiring about.

'Desert?' Oh! I thought it said dessert!

in my best Emily Latella

Nevermind!

At one time I may have asked about differences between the 880 and 890. You can still be my friend though...
