self tuning guitar

I was just thinking back a couple of years and I remember seeing a guitar that tuned itself to any programed tunning at the push of a button. It had a little screen on the side and all you did was program a tuning into its memory and it would be there for future use. If I remember correctly it was done by having little motors or whatever that tighten and it used the sound to get it to the proper note. I think it was the "tea party" that was trying it. It was also a couple thousand dollars but that was a few years ago. I was wondering if this thing just died or are their other things like this. If you ask me it would be pretty handy for live use.

Neat!!! But I bet string breakage must be increased by about 1000%.
 
Just gotta remember to turn it off when you start playing, especially if you bend strings. :p
