Looking to build a small recording booth in an apartment but not for vocals (that would be too easy wouldn't it, lol...)

I play the Tuba :/ ... I haven't been able to play in awhile since I'm going to be in an apartment for a couple years but I need to find a way. Due to the nature of the instrument and its frequency range, I'd imagine I'm going to need some serious materials, but no clue where to start. Any suggestions? Or is it the harsh truth that I'm going to have to wait until I have a home with a basement to silence this puppy from the neighbors :( ?

 Look at all the other threads here about others trying to make a 'soundproof' room. For a tuba? it's not going to happen. If you want to play now, best bet is to find a brass band that's looking for a player, and you practice wiht them.
