Seek Parts for Tascam 234 Syncassette Deck

Hi everyone,
I recently got, on the cheep, a Tascam 234. It's in need of a drive belt and a couple idler wheels... the guy who's got it on a bench has run into issues getting parts, so I'm on the hunt for them. If you have them and would sell them to me, I'd be able to use Paypal to do business.

Hi,

You can get the belts on ebay. There is a kit there with belts for several different Tascam machines for around $17.00. A trick that is used for the idler assemble tires for the 244 is to use rubber washers from a faucet repair kit. I don't know if you can find the proper size for the 234 but you can for the 244, so maybe.
