Second post of a song, first time through a real mix

I posted this song a couple of weeks back. It was pulled directly from a Fostex MR-8. I got some good suggestions as to what's not working on it.

This weekend I started playing around with n-track, and as a result ended up with this mix of the song. Please have a listen and let me know of any deficiencies (I already know about the playing better part).

I am new to mixing, so the only things I did was played with panning, volume, and EQ (just experimentating without really knowing what I'm doing).

Got it that time.

I'd say the guitars overall lack definition and midrange. They sound a bit muffled as they are. I would recommend work for a different tone on the amplifier or use a different mic position.

I'd probably also say either make it an intrumental or do the vocals like they were originally done. The vox you did have in there were way too far back in the mix. Very tough to hear. And BELT IT OUT!!! :D:D:D

The song overall needs a good kick of energy. It kind of lags as it is. It seems like you can play fine - kick it into high gear!!!
