Baaah-I'm having a hard time streaming at the moment-though I did listen to the first 20 seconds orf your song 4 times(I heard a kick out of time though)-The download is moving real slow too I'll listen to it and get back to ya-It did sound like the beginning of a good tune-
 
I got thru 'Hurt" and oh boy.I hate bashing people but,the drummer is off and that fucks everyone else up.The vocals are the best part of that afterbirthish tune.Now 'Like Me' has tremendous potential but needs more practice,'Over' is luke warm and again the vox is the best part,the guitars need to be punchier ,more in your face and throw a couple of leads in there ,shred that shit man!'Fanatic J' is groovey but there was some guitar volume funkyness in the beginning and the change at around 2:00 just feels wrong,I think it's the drummer again.your all gettin there and with a little more practice you might even be able to charge money for the CD

Whoa... drums are off... the guitar is a bit out of tune..

BUT... good singer! And a clean, clean recording... damn near "analogue" in it's ... FULL sound... bass sounds like the best instrument there... cleaner and more (here we go again) "organic :rolleyes:" than my stuff.

BUT... drums & bass don't lock up...

I'll tell ya what... you've got a good recording... of a bad performance... of a good song...

BTW have you read Mixerman's diaries? I wouldn't be surprised if your band was "Bitch Slap" and the drummer was.... uh... "Dumbass" :D (joke)
 
ok Im back-yeah the drums are off--bass is kinda boomy too--good tune and good vocals--a question-do you record with a click? Ive spent 3 months trying to get my drummer to do 5 songs with a click-then we recorded 4 in one day without it...anyway-you got a good song and a good band-your drummer should be practicing his ass off-and thanking his lucky stars etc etc.....but anyway-don't tell yourself ahhh its good enough-people will notice that groove is off. Good tune though-nice melody-good heavy section-the songs dynamic-just get on that drummer!
 
I am the drummer!

I've been playing for two months, back from a 6 year haitus of playing..

The timing problem comes with my right hand not able to keep the tempo constant throwing my right foot off.

That was recorded 1 month ago, I've practiced with and without the band since then and have the tempo solidified a bit more.

I've been working through my old friends "stick control" and playing with New Breed. Another few months of practicing and I'll be up to par with the old me.

Mixerman diaries? Yah those are a blast too read..although dumbass had more than just "timing" issues

I just recorded myself playing the beat to hurt and my kick drum is on time finally.

We're recording five tracks at a studio in Branson, MO soon so I've been practicing my ass off..and it payed off.

Thanks again for the constructive critique, I agree with all that was said.
