Inspired by FenderLickin posting up his old stuff-I found this in the archives. Recorded many moons ago-the day after the Tyson Holyfield fight(when he bit his ear) on a yamaha 4 track. Drum machine and real drums, a tv track some movie quotes (Network)-finger piano guitar cheapo keyboard-bass, egg.

Sound quality is about what you'd expect from a 4 track-not bad though. Its got a few conversion errors in the first minute or so-nothing horrendous-hang in there. Its also looong so spark one up-put on your headphones and enjoy the ride hehe.

I aplogize for my bad form and self indulgence-if anyone thinks this doesnt belong taking up space here say so and I'll take it down :).

hehehe ...sweet man if i had a four track about 10 yrs ago...we could have toured together!!..:D .i can see this playing in the background ..on some british made movie(snatch)...while some baaaad guys are out looking for the bosses daughter ..that they were supposed to be keeping track of ..but who gave them the slip.....sweating it out.......

at 3:30 where the zylophone part sounding thing comes in is pretty dang cool..
 
Heh, I love hearing old 4-track stuff. When that piano sound comes in it starts sounding a little like some demented version of one of those 80s movie themes by Harold Faltermeyer (the guy who did "axel f" for beverly hills cop, among others - why do I know this stuff?).

Fun. Bring on the 4-track stuff!

Heya, this was a fun laid-back listen. I just let it stream in dial-up friendly, lo-fi glory :).

Okay... so what's up with this, the skipping? Was this caused by your mp3 encoder? I've heard a few other tunes lately with similar problems. If it's your encoder, the encoder is broken. Throw it away and never use it again. LAME is free and very good, and after hundreds of encodes I've never had a skip, click, or pop.
 
And all this time I thought you were one of the most tasteful musicians on this board:D
I won't rag on you too much though 'cause I posted something along the same lines recently.
 
Nice ambient piece. Lots of different instruments made for an interesting listen. That's tough to do on an "instrumental."

I had some trouble hearing the sound bites, but oh well.

The skips sounded like a bad punch-in rather than an encoding error. But what do I know?

Cool nevertheless.

I always have one sparked if I'm logged in here..


fun song.. (except for the skips.) I couldn't understand some of the samples, but there were some cool guitar bits in the background.. I just let it play and zoned out..

....cool vibish quality to this. Yeah, the encoding probs are really annoying, but with these older recordings youve gotta appreciate the good things about them that were captured when they were recorded. .....captured in the moment. And this definitely has a cool riding feel to it. ....This would be a great piece of music behind a spoken storyboard.

Like it...kinda reminds me of the background music to Heavy Metal (the first one)...would go great with spoken word as Guernica said. BTW, the Heavy Metal soundtrack is a must have for nostalgia's sake :)
 
Damn-I was hoping this thing would quickly and quietly fade away. For anyone else who looks-THE SONG IS GONE!!!- Nothing to see here move along...
