Assuming you are serious, I have to say that I cannot understand why you would even question whether or not to leave. If your gear is important to you then load 'n' go. If your gear isn't important to you, then for your own life leave. Fire spreads fast. Embers can shoot for miles... especially 5 of them... easily.

i'd been loading it up by now and placing in a safe rental-shed or some sht. like $45 for month...you shouldn't go thru to bad of an audio withdrawl.

How can you live in a city that cost's sooo much in real estate value, and not have a simple home owner's policy to cover your belongings?

The house we all grew up in is a goner, thanks to these blasted fires. We had time to get Mom, Dad, siblings and animals..but the rest of it is toast.
Fortunately, I don't live at home..and all my gear is okay. But here's what the fire did to OUR house. The "get the hell out" advice is spot on.
