Just bought Samson S12 dynamic mic and seems that my cable is made wrong. I connected the mic to a 4-track recorder (Fostex 160) ,but mic doesn't give anykind of signal there.
The cable i'm using is some d.i.y stuff, and propably made wrong way. Othe end it has XLR -connector and other end 1/4" plug. Could someone give the wiring instructions?
And the cable is standard 3-wire cable (don't know the correct name..).
If it is a dynamic microphone, then it doesn't need any phantom power either? Correct if wrong...
