Would you get the same sound from both of these?

Behringer V-AMP 2 Amp Modeler and/or Behringer V-Amp Pro Rackmount Amplifier Modeler

Are they the same thing, one just a rack mountable version of the other? I would hate to buy the V-Amp 2 and come to find out the V-Amp Pro is much better for only a bit more money.

Thank you..///////////

They are the same thing. The pro is just rack mountable and more rugged. It also has more output options like spdif. They both have the same sound. I would buy the pro version because the regular vamp2 is not made very well. The input and output jacks are weak and I can definately see them breaking if you move it around a lot. It seems like if it were dropped, it would easily crack. I own one and just have it sitting there. I do plug/unplug a cable in the input jack pretty often and worried that it's not going to last much longer if I continue doind it. If you were to buy the vamp2 just sit it on a desk and never move it and just leave the cables in it.

How do you like your sound from the v-amp? I know you play metal music, do you have any posted clips that were recorded using the v-amp?

yeah my black metal song I posted in the mixing clinic. The full song not just the clips I posted. But I wasn't trying my best to get the best sound out of the vamp2. The guitars were only scratch guitars. But it sounds pretty good. Another person to check out with the vamp2 is Mistral. Look him up here. He uses the vamp2 for his songs.
