i am using shitty gear since it's all i have right now to record my drums for my rock and roll band. i have 4 sam ash mics im putting into a radio shack 4 channel mixer into my zoom mrs-1044 (2 inputs only). i'd like to get stereo drums, but the problem is that the radio shack mixer defines stereo as "two of the four channels hard left, the other two hard right"- in other words, i can't pan how i want to. any advice on how to get good sounding stereo drums from such a setup? where should i point the 4 mics?
