What does anyone know about this recording package? ZZounds.com has it right now for $800.00. Thats $3200 off the original price.


Any info would be appreciated.

That's been the going price for quite awhile now. It's not a bad system for the money but unless they have upgraded the software drivers you can only use it with Win98SE.

If you are interested in it send me an email because I would be willing to sell my Studio Pack for a few hundred less. I upgraded everything and don't really use it anymore.

oops. I was thinking of the VM 3100pro package. That is pretty cheap for the 7100 but I've never used it. I'm surprised to see them so cheap but that's usually a bad sign.
 
A good friend of mine has one.... he loves it. I am going to see if I can't get by his place and check it out. He got his a while back for $800 USD.... something about a truckers strike that left a bunch of these stranded and Roland needed to unload them, so he got it really cheap. I don't know if that is why zZounds is selling them for so little. I hope to see him in a few days... maybe I can find out more info on it then.
 
Some people are using them as extra inputs via R-Bus for their 2400's.

I use Win XP with my Vm3100 pro. Maybe what you mean is you can't use Logic RPC version included in the package with greater than 98se. But you can use later versions of Logic with Vm3100 pro and Win XP.
 
PK, Is there an XP driver for the RBUS card? When I was using it XP has just come out and they didn't haven one. I haven't checked in awhile.
