Why can't I find any reviews on the Roland UA-100? One would think that such a unit would be the talk of the town, but the pro audio dealers seem to be completely ignoring it.

Can anyone direct me to a comprehensive, objective review of this unit?
 
I think they're ignoring it because of the minimalist audio I/O on the unit. Although for very limited uses, I've heard it is a capable and fairly quiet unit. This really is interim technology. I think the standards for both audio and consumer video will be going toward "Firewire" ports. With USB I think you can run into bandwidth barriers when trying to transmit a multitrack CD quality (or better) digital signal. CD quality stereo requires 1411 Kbps. And standards are moving toward 24bit /96KHz stereo. Have you done the search on it here at H/R?
