I found a used R-5 at a local store for $149. Is there any compelling reason to spend $199 for a Boss DR550mkII?
Does the Boss have the *feel* feature of the R series drum machines? I also noticed the Boss only has a MIDI in and no indivdual audio outs like the R-5.
I am really looking for an all around drum machine to keep my timing right.
One more thing, the R-5 did not have a manual. Will I be able to find it somewhere (from Roland, Internet)?
