Roland JV1010 expansion cards.

hello all,

My brother has a Roland JV-1010 'board, and has been trying mightily to find expansion cards for that unit (particularly in the areas of hip-hop & great piano sounds). I have searched the 'net for him, as he doesn't have online capabilities as yet, and could not find any such cards for the JV-1010. We would appreciate it deeply if someone could help us to zero in on a place that would likely have them.

ROLAND SRJV8001 thru SRVJ8018 on sale at AMERICANMUSICAL.COM or $139. And they're always up on ebay for a nice BUY IT NOW price.....

But.... Most "hip hop" cats i've seen post on the net seem to recommend the Vintage Keyboards(SRVJV8004) and that's probably what i'll get or maybe the Keyboards of the 60's and 70's one. I've seen some posts saying to stay away from the Hip Hop cards.

I'm still hella pissed at the sorry ass editing software for the JV1010...

SRJV cards are still selling everywhere on the net, and you can get decent prices just about anywhere.


piano expansion is sh*t on the older jv cards, but better than stock on the 1010.

Hip hop card has a few gems on it, but I hate that they put loops on there.

60's 70's, and vintage keyboards are industry "secrets" - so, you can do what you want with that info. Just know that.

I have a JV-1080 and a JD-990 and in the 1080 I have the following expansion boards:

JV-1080:

Dance
Techno
House
Drums & Bass

JD-990

Vintage Synth


The vintage synth board is very very good and makes some really hot lead and general synth sounds.
