ROLAND DISCLAB CDX-1 memory

Hi folks,
I've donme a search but no one seems to have posted a related thread or comment...
My wife gave me a ROLAND DISCLAD CDX-1 for my birthdy. It's pretty cool but needs a memory upgrade. I bought a RAM stick as per manual instructions & description but the machine rejects it saysing it's the wrong sort of DIMM.
the requirement is:
The specifications are as follows:
PC 100 or 133 mhz DIMM RAM
3.3 volt
8 Chips on one side only
168 pin
I bought:
128 mb pc100 / 133 memory modules. Specifications of the module are 168 pin 128 mb unbuffered non ecc 16X64 configuration. 8 chips single sided.
Any ideas where I went wrong?

Lucky guy! I don't know anything about that unit but it would be great if you posted some stuff on here and let us know about the unit later...how similar is it to a BR studio as far as operating?

Thanks for the response Dumby. It's not as versatile as using a computer & a good soundcard BUT it has a pretty heavy duty sampling section (though I'm not into that at all) & is portable - I think I can take the CDRW with audio files & mport them into cakewalk with some luck so it'l work for basic 8 tracking & I can edit/effect in the comp.
I've finally managed to find a mob in the US who used to supply the upgrade RAM & have ordered a stick for the same price as I bought a 2nd hand one on eBay even.
I'll post a snap & brief tomorrow.

Here's a snap of the Disclab.
It records audio through a range of inputs & has 8 mono tracks. These are stored on a high speed CDRW in the internal drive.
Also has 8 pads for triggering sequences of samples. It records & edits audio into samples. Also has an inbuilt sequencer for midi stuff.
Has inbuilt 100+ effects for guitar, voice tec tec incl amp & mic sims.
Also has mastering tools so that a song can be recorded (effects etc have to be recorded as the signal comes in so no non destructive effects I'm afraid) physically mixed, mastered & burnt to CDR onboard.
Pretty much like an 8 track tape machine (apologies to analogue heads) in terms of limitations but with the effects, sampling options and the mastering added. Though only 2 tracks can be recorded simultaneously.
Very much in the middle of my 4 track tape machine & my cakewalk running computer.
I'm experimenting with whether I can usefully upload taped recordings to the CDX-1 as well as whether I can load the audio from the CDRW into cakewalk.
At this stage it's an excellent sketch pad for working away from my little room.
I have yet to complete a project inside the machine but will come back & link to a piece when I've done so.
