Does anyone have any thoughts on this new model? I'm interested in home recording straight to CD-Rs, and I like the idea of having a sampler and sequencer all in one. Any help would be appreciated.
I think it's a cool start but I understand it needs to write and read off a CDRW as you are working. If that's true it might be very slow and frustrating to work with. Awkward at best. Research it carefully.
I think Roland came up with that product in a hurry to offer some competition to Yamaha's 4416 and their new 2816.
I have the 2816 and it's a great box. But, like other good Yam products, the manual is a vacuum. However, there is a tutorial built in with a prerecorded tune which lets one get his/her brain straight about the whole system.
So, as Digiboy said, look it over carefully. Seems like double work to get to the final product.
