Hi,
I have the NT1-A and am really impreesed with it. Great for vocals and acoustic instruments. Have you also considered the Rode M3. It's a smaller and cheaper diaphragm condenser mic with multi power options as well (use can use 48v phantom power or an internal 9v battery). Good luck with whatever you go with.
