thanks to the help in my last topic i now know im not at risk of destroying my compressor

I still have a problem however, now that i have the composer running on the insert of the US122 - I know Im getting a signal to the composer but Im not getting anything back from it, no signal indication at all on the US122

Everyone heres been really helpful so far, I hope you can help us out again, weekends are the only time we get to do any work on this

im probably being a dumbass here

my mic is plugged into the us122, phantom power is on, its all picking up good, then from the us122 insert is a tip and ring going to the 'inputs' part of the composer pro, ive also tried it in the 'outputs'

both ways it is getting a signal from my mic but i still cant get anything back to the us122, the signal led isnt picking up anything at all

tried various cables to assure theyre not faulty im totally stuck, i cant understand what else I could do

It´s a simple mistake you´re making here. The ´insert´-thing is for both receiving and sending audio, so you indeed need a stereo-jackcable.

The point is, you´ll have to send the audio to the input of the composer, and it´s output (a different hole/ a different cable) has to go back to the insert-plug. So you´ll need a Y-cable running from one stereo-jack to two mono jacks. Sorry for my english.
