For anyone who has the rode nt1-a is microphone pin 1 sticking out more that pins 2 and 3? I never noticed this before until now and i dont know if that is normal. I tried to push it back in to see if it got pulled out but it wont budge. Is it normal?

Mine is exactly as you say. I wouldn't worry about it. It is fine.

That's normal. It is common in electronics to use pins of various lengths so that the ground gets connected first, then power, then signal/data. This is both to avoid data corruption/noise/hum/popping and for safety reasons. With XLR, signal and power are shared on 2 & 3, so you can't separate those. However, pin 1 (ground) still gets connected first so that the body is grounded before its guts get electrified. :D

I suspect you'll find that this is relatively common for (good) phantom-powered microphones. If it isn't, it should be.

yea...i have 4 rode mics, and they're all like that
