I just bought a Rode K2 microphone in perfect condition, with one minor (or perhaps major flaw)-- it doesn't have the dedicated power supply. The warranty has expired and Rode will not sell the power supply individually.
I was just wondering if anyone has had success powering any Rode mics that come with dedicated power supplies with a non-dedicated power supply, or perhaps phantom power through a mixer. Or maybe someone is selling a Rode power supply for some strange reason. I might have to end up modifying the mic, which will be a pain, but for how much money I saved, its worth it.
