RMGI using superior 6 screw precision reels??

Is the 6 screw reel the RMGI standard for all formats, including 1/4 and 1/2"? If that's the case, as is for that 1" example, then that's absolutely great! All I have is plastic 7" reels so I don't know what their deal is with the metal reels. Anyone care to fill me in?

I have two RMGI 1/2" reels that only use three screws.

It looks like only the 1" and 2" products come with 6 screw construction.
