Just curious...

Are people still getting their replacements? I'm still waiting... has anyone gotten shockmounts, or any of the other parts they're owed?

Nothing. A large group of us went together on a "group buy" that included ribbon mics. Some of them had a slight defect from the factory so now they are being replaced with fresh ones.

They are not an upgrade or anything if that is what you are asking. Just better condition.

i dunno, man... i sent chance an e-mail about a week ago in regards to the ribbons, and have seen/heard nothing since
 
I'm still waiting for mine, too.

Also waiting for the shockmounts.....
 
Anyone received any ribbons lately? I have a bunch due, but haven't received them yet. Also waiting for shockmounts....

Just make sure to use plastic tools aoround the magnets, I wrecked the first one trying to take the slack out and the magnet grabbed it and crushed the ribbon (very fragile)

still no ribbons for me...

chance might be working on it, but it would be nice if he could reply to my e-mail and at least let me know that i'll be waiting a few more weeks...

I refuse to email him anymore. He has ignored all emails from me over the last two years. What good would it do? Besides, he already knows who he owes and where they live. Why would we need to tell him again?

God, I hope he doesn't start a business. He would fail miserably on customer service alone.

It has been a month and still no ribbons. Then again, I'm so busy trying to make these *@^#$&* preamps work that I won't have time to replace ribbons any time soon anyway.
 
Still no ribbons or shockmounts for me, either. And I'm owed quite a few of each.

Very much enjoying the ACMP-73 and all of the mics, though. So that's good.
 
A couple of my ribbons were sagging, and I haven't really been able to use them. How were we supposed to sign up for replacements? Is it too late?
 
Well, I'm not sure if anyone really knows. We have been asking each other the same kinds of questions for two years now. Chance seems to have abandoned us on this.

I've been out for a while. I've been diagnosed with serious depression and it really sucks. I noticed something wrong when something as simple as typing an E-mail seemed to be extremely hard. Then many other simple things became very hard to. I couldn't seem to find a logical explanation for what is happening, so I went to the doctor. My work in the studio is on auto pilot. I just do what I know works. I just can't seem to get my engine started. I could easily stay in bed 24/7. Physically I feel OK. Right now I am still dealing with the gear that USPS lost and the users console is down again. Most of the replacement ribbons have shipped. I still have the shockmounts to ship. The doctor is supposed to be getting me some meds, but I only wish I knew of a way to fix my problem naturally as I used to love drugs but years ago, made a pledge to never do drugs again. If the doc gives me a script for something that makes me feel good, I fear the thought of having to rely on it just to function."
