Rhythm Board? anyone ever use this stuff?

it's large size pliable paper board. i was thinking of using it as a diffussor of sorts on a long wall in my studio; randomly bending and shaping it to make my flat wall nice and curvy.

what to y'all think?

It looks like a paper product...use very much of it could be a pretty serious fire hazzard.

Polycylindrical diffusion is well known and has been used for decades in performance venues and studios. Do you know what a "diffuse sound field" really is though? In small rooms, absorption will actually perform better, as you are limited to diffusing wavelengths relative to your rooms dimensions. Afterall, how do you diffuse soundwaves twice the length of your room? There is a school of thought that states "a completely diffuse sound field is impossible to achieve in small rooms". Howver, my disclaimer is in full force here.....i.e. I'm no expert. I would read up on the subject before commiting to a design or material. Here is an example.
