Do people usually put more reverb onto an entire mix when mastering or dumping? I already have reverb on my guitars, vocals and drums, but have seen some recordists talking about effecting an intire mix at its final step.

One word for this idea.

YUK!!!

Of course, some people may want that cheesy TV sound effect of a "live" impression of a pre-recorded song.

The beauty of having a recording box, like an MD-8, as well as others, is that they have two loops or busses For FX boxes; Soooo, you can really play with reverbs. When you get into editing reverb patches, Voila - - a whole new world. But, all of this takes time. Sometimes 5 hours slips by when I'm working on a mix. But, then, that's why it's so much fun -- a constant learning hobby.

Enjoy recording,
