Well as some know, who read my last thread, I had a Behringer mixer which I wanted to hook up my compressor(DBX) then to my digi 001. Basically to have my vocals compressed before they enter pro-tools. But the Behringer didn't have channel inserts.

To make a long story short, I returned the Behringer got a Mackie 1202-vlz. I called Mackie's Tech support line to hook up my mixer---->compressor---->digi 001 but for some reason its still not working. I have a Y cable from my insert into the in & out of my compressor and then a 1/4 cable from my aux send into my Digi 001. Thats what they told me to do, its still not working... Please assist if have info. Thanks

Maybe the aux is pre insert?
Why not go insert send>DBX>001?
Then you have the cleanest signal path possible.....
