good song but the vocals seem very loud to me.. also when the heavy guitars come in something doesnt sit right.. maybe the drums are too low.. the drums are definitely too low imop.. good song but not a final mix.. cool solo..
All the vocals are a bit dry for me, especially in the acoustic sections. Some reverb would be nice,
Personally, I don't like the heavy metal part--too harsh. Back off the drive just a bit and let them fall off a bit in the mix. This will help with the entire mix, allowing the bass to come forward and the solo will stand out a bit better.
The drums could use a little work. The high end is a bit sizzly, there could be more kick.
Yo a shool man... downloaded this a while back, but didn't get around to your track...
Sweeeeeeeeet jazzy progressions and flavors... like puttin tabasco on rice.... the basic is there, but the flavor makes it worth it. Really nice. Good singing... are you training your vocs? Doesn't sound like "born" singing... more like "worked like a madman for it"... totally mean that in a good way... you've really developed a good singing voice.
That guit sounds really similar to mine... a laminate top? Or did dumdum here guess wrong? Acoustic-electric? Mic'ed up?
sweet outro lead guitar.
Gotta lot of flavor on this cut o meat. Might suggest some reverb to kinda glue it together more... put some polish in the right spots.. you've got the ingredients.
Part - Its a Martin D28 miced up. The lead is a tele. Thanks for the vocal comments. I think my voice is fairly awful so I'm always shocked when someone says nice things. I put it down to politeness. As for training, 20 years in the car. Though I can't say I haven't put a lot of thought and effort into it.
sloop - I had the heavy guitar low in the original mix and people told me to turn it up. I think a lot of this comes down to taste and in the end I need to decide which way I like it.
I am retracking vocals and bass and maybe some guitar once again. I'll nail this eventually.
ok this is getting depressing.
Why did I never learn to play the freakin guitar!!!!!!!!!!!!!@!!!@#@!!@##
Great job, great song, of course! I'm outta my league man!
I've truly got a new radio station. I know somebody already said it, but man, all you guys are really, really good.
Lyrics, Stellar.

Leads, rock
Production,thought out and again:Stellar.
Great job, man. Really.

First listen here...*great* voice i'm hearing has a Paul McCartney type vibe for me. What's the mic set up on that martin man? Really smooth sound you got. I didn't care to much for the "dirty' gtr's..me thinks you can dial in a better tone , very good playing though. Really great tune ash, I enjoyed it.*****
okobd - thanks but, you've got to be kidding. No really, I appreciate your comments.
freshears - the falsetto leaps are right out of Macca. I can't do it like him but that doesn't stop me from trying. The acoustics used the Martin D-28 through Behringer B-2 mic to an Ultra Gain Pro pre and maybe a hair of compression. In other words, cheap equipment, great guitar. One time I went into a studio and recorded a cheap guitar through a Neumann, and that sounded pretty good too. I wonder what a great guitar through a great mic sounds like?
