Replacing a bridge for my bass

Got a Badass II for my bass. Is putting in a new bridge something I could do myself without much difficulty (duhh.... screws go in holes?*drool*) or is the fact that I'm even asking this question all the more reason to send it to a professional to set it up? Thanks.
 
What kind of instrument do you have? I couldn't tell you with out that. It is probably best to take it to a professional, as it will need a setup once you get the new bridge on.

Thought Badasses were designed with P/J-basses in specific? It's a Jazz Bass, fretless. But yeah, I'll probably get it done by a professional unless it's a reasonably straightforward operation, which I guess it isn't since as you pointed out, I'll have to get it set up anyhow.
 
It all depends. It should be a straight forward swap of the bridge. If the setup is pretty good right now, and you feel confident in your ability to adjust the bridge, go for it. Just remember that, unless you have a strobe tuner, you will not be able to do an adequate job on intonation.

You could, if you wanted, swap the bridge, and then bring it to a good repair person for the setup. This may help to offset the cost of the work. Of course, if you get the old bridge off and the new one does not line up perfectly, then take it to a repair person. Take great care when you are removing the old bridge not to damage the finish (at least, if you care), and also be cautious with the ground wire which should be attached to the bridge.
