Hi everyone.
I wasn't sure where to post this question, so hopefully it's not too out of place in this forum.
I'm wondering if there is such a thing as a remote control for recording oneself. Like, for instance, if your recording area was a fair distance from your computer. I'm trying to get as far away from my noisy computer as possible but it would be kinda hard (not to mention silly) to run from my computer to my mic every time. I seem to remember some mention somewhere of a USB remote or something like that. Anyone know of this? Anyone have one?
If not, i guess i'll just have to put a good shield between me and my computer.
Thanx.
Oh, i use protools on a PC, if that matters

. But i'm just wondering, can i use a wireless keyboard with a laptop? Probably a dumb question, huh? The extension cable might be my best (and cheapest) bet. I spotted a port at the back of my laptop for a mouse/keyboard (my current mouse is USB). And that Tranzport thingy looks really cool
...perfect actually, except that i only really need the basic controls like record, stop, play, rew/fwd. The other controls are definitely useful but i was hoping to find something cheaper with just the basic controls. But maybe when i can afford it cuz that would be really cool to have.
