Not at all. :p

It's an Ibanex RG570 set to the neck hum/middle single position running through a custom patch on my Digitech RP100. The RP100 can do some nice tones if you learn your way around it. :D

Thanks.

I've been doing a lot of my rumbles using an RP50. You're right; it takes a little effort to find good tones.

detuned -- ah, note overload! seriously, though, nicely done. an entirely different take. that was probably slow for you, but I think you played more notes than all the other takes combined. :D

geet -- i really liked the melodic nature of yours. mellow and soulful.

Hahahah, yeah i listend back to it this morning, too many notes, but what do ya expect I play in a extreme metal band, so im kinda locked into that mode of playing I guess. I dont get to play lead in my band, so this rumble was cool to play over. Thanks for the comments.

True, apl, thanks for the compliments!
I really like everyone's submissions on this one, good stuff!
Detuned, I know how you feel, cuz I come from an extreme metal background as well and it can be hard to get your head around doing something so different, That's why I just play the wierdest shit I can come up with for everything! Also, I am pretty wierd myself......maybe that has something to do with it?

detuned, metalhead, I think you guys playing stuff that is not what you normally play is cool. Brings a different perspective to these things. Sometimes, fast playing, and fancy, weird shit to a slow song can be fun to a listener. I really liked all the slow, soulfull stuff that was played to this track, but also gotta love some of the "different" stuff. A new perspective, as we say. Cool playing.

I hope i got everyone i hadn't done yet:

thajeremy: very bluesy, i was waiting for BB King to start singing the whole time
vspaceboy: i like how you mixed up low and high work to keep things interesting
metalhead28: i had a chance to buy an ebow a few months back and i passed on it; you're making me regret my decision... cool solo.
detuned6: we should start a jazz-metal band because that was cool and kinda fit in a weird way.
geet73: i liked your slow, deliberate playing. that's how i like to play as well so i have time to think my way through the phrasing and link ideas.

on a side note, i'm glad you guys are having fun with the backing track and thanks for the compliments on both it and my solo. I was hoping to "take you out of your element" a little bit with the backing track.. call it my misguided way to influence self-learning.

hmm.. maybe i *should* make a 10 minute long version of this song and splice all the solos together.....

oh.. i was also going to say that you should consider yourselves lucky that i didn't post the other rumble i had planned.. it was a tricky 5/4 riff that changed keys a few times.

TIME OUT! You were going to get all Brubeck on us? I'll have to take five and think about it.

i have been looking at that studly frog nailing that bunny for hours....I tell you he is tireless!!...he never stops.....

and oh yeah, you can't look at it without laughing......if you're not laughing than just take a second and stare at kermit's mouth....you will start laughing again!!

by the way, judging by the general lack of movement by ms. bunny, I think kermit may have just administered a "donkey punch"....... :p

The spanking, combined with his expression, makes it hard to eat or drink, when one of your post pops up!!!! My computer does not thank you! :D
