this is my first "rumble" entry of any kind....hope it can stand up to some of what I have heard so far...Iv heard some really good solos

Wow, great job by everybody! Seems like you guys all have a very mellow side! I think I will try this out and see if I can keep from making an ass of myself! :D

These solos sound good back to back with the contrasts. Space, yours has a bright close up sound and I like the opening figure that drops it into first the A minor then the C major chord. Thageremy, yours sounds like I walked into a large dark smoky club... the band's in the far corner and the guitar's got that melancholy far-away sound. Nice work guys.

Metalhead, in that sig graphic Kermit's rockin' into oblivion but Miss Bunny doesn't really seem to be into it. She's not a screamer huh?

I hope that is a good thing...:) to me...this stuff sounds better when drenched in reverb...

I think perhaps frogs are a little poorly equipped.....downstairs :D

apl, listening to yours right now... that's a cool run in triplet 8ths right at 1:28. Thought you said you never strung together more than three 8th notes at a time? Nice job.

lbanks... you're in your element here obviously. Very cool bass lines that sound like guitar lines but with more balls.

Tim

thajeremy, yours and mine sounded imo, pretty darn similar. lol nice job!

Thanks spastic and tim and everyone else who listened.

Timbo!!! Where's yours at bud?? Seems like you should be able to tear into this.

apl - Very good tone.

LOL! I did it in a hotel room with a hot-rodded Squier Bullet and a Digitech RP50 direct into the laptop and mixed in headphones!

Fit the piece very well. I liked the change you threw in there at 0:47. Totally unexpected, but works great.

I just played minor pentatonic boxes first in A at the fifth fret, then in C at the 8th fret (that was the change) then at 15 in G, and back to A again at the 17th fret, and worked my way back down to the fifth fret.

Hey VSpaceBoy and thajeremy, those were great. Good tone. V, it sounded like you were on a roll.

I kinda got repetitve some, I ran out of ideas.

Tell me about it. I feel that there's no point in me participating in another of these rumbles, because I already played every lick I know on this one (some of them twice). Anything else would just be redundant. :D

Seriously, though, nice playing both VSpaceBoy and Thajeremy. I'm only listening on laptop speakers, but both of you seem to have gotten a good tone and captured the feel of the backing track.

Well, I take it back, then. There is no way you could have gotten a good tone from that setup. I must have been under the influence of some mind altering substance, or something. ;) :D :D :D

Hyuck! My wife sez I'm nuts... that why she married me!
Pirate #1: Why is that steering wheel stuck in your pants?
