I currently plan on buying a refurbished iMac and I am just wondering if there is any body out there who has taken this route? And what type of experience did they have with it?
Factory refurbished? Problem with these is you never know what was refurbished (an input, the hard-drive ...), but if the warranty is the same as a new one, should be no problem.

Covered for one year but you can buy applecare for up to 3 additional.
Gamba: I would suggest buying applecare. I had an old macbook pro that died after two years. They couldn't fix it and gave me a new one. But since I had the old style mac book pro and they didn't make it anymore, they gave me the new style upgraded for free. Double ram, faster processor, double the harddrive space, for the cost of applecare.
thanks guys. i planed on getting the 3 year applecare so it seems that every thig would be cool, it's just that they won't give the one to one offer for refurbs but i'm just planing on using logic express 9 and i figure theres a lot of tutorials out the on it and also my friend runs logic pro 9 so once again thanx a million guys you've put a stressed out newbie at ease!!
