Red type B microphone

P.S. They just told me the B7 (U47) capsules are backordered 3 months! The B0 (elam 251) is back about a month...Anyone know how to make time speed up?

OK, just got it!!

Have only had a few minutes with it, doing comparisons with my other mics. Nothing more than singing into it. I can't do any real recording until this weekend but so far my first impression is "Wow"!!

It's like velvet! The top end is there, but there's no sibilant qualities - AT ALL! It doesn't sound scooped, the bottom is full and tight and the midrange is clean and present!

Hey, is this what a good mic should sound like??? :D :D

I need me some other capsules!
 
Working on drum tracks right now. I'll use the type B for some instruments soon. I have a feeling it's going to be the mic for guitar cabs and maybe even some main vocals.
 
my friend ordered one of these mics before christmas, and still hasn't recieved it. he's pretty bummed, he wanted it for a specific recording project which has long since come and gone.. i think they owe him a partial refund, and of course the mic...
