Okay. I'm not sure if that has been specifically addressed. But does anyone have any tips on making this...Well, it's crap...This CRAP sit better in a mix and sound more natural? Especially distortion...I should really just mess around with it, but I would like to see if anyone else even goes this route. I'm eventually going to crank my excellent little 50 watt, but for now, my band's in demo mode and there isn't enough time for us to mic stuff. I can post a sample if need be.

I would cool your jets until you can 'crank up (your) excellent little 50 watt' and not worry about what comes out of the RP100.

If you absolutely, positively need to use it RIGHT NOW get it to sound as good as you can and go with it with the idea of playing the part or the song again --- sort of like a demo for a demo...

 :D ;)

You're not going to get a good sound out of the RP100.

I had both an RP200 and an RP100, and I found the the delays, reverbs and distortions to sound way too artificial sounding to use for recording or serious gigs. I wouldn't even bother, unless you were just recording scratch tracks, and even then it would probably be distracting.

Nevermind that the effects on this thing are shite.... The unit is so noisy that you will spend days trying to gate out the crap and the hiss and try to keep the effects intact.

I have one, and came across a POD. Also had a Sans Amp(clean tone was great)..
anyway, I use the POD and sold the Sans Amp as I didn't need two modelers.

RP are a great cheap box... there's some programming you can do for noise gates, tones and stuff that will help. My kids live poractice band stomps on it and it's a good entry unit for beginners learning what Reverb is and FUZZ tone.. and its made of Metal, so thats its strong points imo.

for quick recording (or more) you may find a POD for $75 to 100 used. though the POD doesn't have the wah-volume pedal. Many don't like the BEAN on the desk thing....

probably not what you wanted to hear... I don't know of any tricks to make the RP "sound" good.
