anyone out there got any experience of recording via e mail. My problem is that I have a pianist at one end of the country (Cork) I am at the other end and the guitarist is in Germany. I have a basic digital setup of a Yamaha 01v , TLA EQ and various other decent outboard, a-dat and access to akai DR 16 PRO , an apple G3 and an ISDN line. Am I missing any essential gear, is there much degredation of signal ,Can I mix "live" and is ther much trouble involved in a "virtual"studio.

Since you say you are doing this via E-mail and not live, I don't think the ISDN line will be a huge limitation. Trying this live via ISDN will require severe compression.
What are you using for multitracking S/W?
There shouldn't be any degradation of signal if you're trading digital files. If you're trading compressed digital files, the only degradation will come from the compression.
