Hello,

What is the easiest way to track several takes without deleting them? Basically, if after tracking 20 different takes I decide that take 8 is the best, how do I recall this? The biggest problem is with maximizing efficiency and space too...sometimes I'll go from having 40hrs of recording time (according to SX @24bit/44.1) to 5 hrs, in just one or two takes!

Thanks..

I have no idea how you are loosing apparently 35 hours of recording space on your hard drive in a matter of a few minutes, but I can help somewhat here....

The fact that all your recording space is being used up indicates that all of your other takes are being kept somewhere, and they are. Double-click on the part you just recorded. You will see all of your previous takes in their own lane underneath the newest one. (unless you have view by output checked - uncheck it)

Alternately, you can go into the pool - every take you've ever done is right there.

Thank Chris

I was also reading in the manual that I could do a "cycle record" and then right click on the track and choose the "take" that I like. Here, I could also use the scissors to splice the different sections and put together a best take.
