My band have been recording acoustic demos recently
using just a tapco interface and mixcraft as the software.
We now want to record some drums we have bought drum mics and we got the chance to test them out but with only two mics, because the tapco only has to xlrs, and it sounded good enough for what we want; a demo to send to labels.

Our friend let us borrow his mixer but we have no clue how to use it just like how we use the tapco, so we can select each track on our software and edit each drum, the mackie would be perfect if it was just simple,
anyone got any suggestions ?

thank you

Without more information I can only assume the Tapco is an interface. The Mackie is not an interface so you would still have to record through the Tapco and be limited to however many inputs it has.

To do what you what to do you'll need an interface with more channels take a look at the Tascam US1641 ~ just google it up and look for the best prices. $299. seems to be a good ball park figure. ;)

You should as well down load Reaper for your software!
