Recording Problem.. PLEASE HELP!

i can't seem to record.. i just get a flat line BUT at the bottom of the screen the record monitor level moves and reads my mic.. it just doesnt record? PLEASE HELP! PLEASE.. i've been trying to sort this for ages and i need it sorted asap.. any help or advice for help would be much appreciated!!!
 
make sure the track you are recording on has the input set to the channel on your soundcard your mic is plugged into, arm the trak BIG RED "R" and hit record.

It's that simple.
 
i have made sure.. it simple but not that simple.. any other ideas?
 
ps my mics plugged into the mxer which is connected to the pc..
 
Have you clicked the Record on your track first, them click the main record at Bottom..

on the track you have three Buttons: R S M
