If anybody is actually reading what i have to write, this is pretty helpful. If you have a porta 02, BUY A MIXER!!! The mixers that these companies put on thier little porta studios are very very cheap. If you buy a mixer, not only do you have aot more XLR inputs (since the porta 02 has none at all) but you get high quality mic pre amps and NO noise other than the guitar amp if you are using one. And also, incase you where wondering how to connect the mixer to the porta 02, wich i had no clue how to do at first, you get the connecters that make an RCA cable into a 1/4 size plug or the other small size that you plug into walkmen. If you can only get the small ones, they also have adapters to connect. And that is about it and just let me say, you WILL thank me if you do this. If you do this, it gives you (in my opinion) an analog version of digital recording (no noise) sound. Thank you.

Thank you JoanisT23!

You HAVE convinced me... I'm going out RIGHT NOW to buy a Mackie 24*8.... and maybe 2 or 3 ADATs to go along with it!

I mean it... I'm heading to Steve's (Music Store) right now!!!

Thanks again...
Bruce
