Armistice
Son of Yoda
Hi
Trying to capture "live" rehearsals of duo (2 mics 3 guitar ins) direct by feeding from mixer/PA:
http://europe.yamaha.com/en/products/music-production/mixers/mg_series_cx_models/mg124cx/
Obviously I could just take a stereo feed from mixer, no probs... can work that one out on my own.
Wondering however if I can get a line out of the individual channels via the inserts that are there on the first 4 channels (sure I can work out a feed for the 5th easily enough direct from guitar FX stereo out...) and thus give myself "mixability" for the individual tracks...
And if so, is it just a normal lead? I understand how inserts work as inserts - my understanding is that the output is the tip of the "stereo" plug and the the input is the ring... so, in theory just using a normal patch type lead would work...?
Or is this just incoherent babbling and I have no idea what I'm talking about?
Tanx...
