Recording guitar with 1/4 to 1/8 adapter good idea?

Chis and DAVE never in the same room at the same time coincidence? I think not.
 
Sorry for these guys having a joke fest on your thread! The Avid® Recording Studio is just a software package with the M AUdio Fast Track interface. Look up reviews of that interface, you will see the unit itself selling for less than that, but you might want to move up a step to the Fast Track Pro instead. As has already been said, you can download Reaper for free - excellent DAW.

I'm sorry you feel the need to apologize for apologizing! LOL! :D.

I think it is good idea to straight away get some humor in there. Not to ridicule, but let a newbie know that this is not a site that will get you condescending remarks from a silly question, unless you say something silly. We are all inherently silly by venturing into home recording anyway right? The creative nature of us freaks compels us. Unless it is a completely lazy assed stupid question, then a bit of internet parenting may be appropriate. I for one, will try to give the best information I am able of giving, to anyone asking a valid question that actually wants to learn. Not "give me your secrets". A bit of humor seems to work for those who really want to learn. Most newb questions can be answered by a simple reading (themselves) of the manual or Youtube search. We take up the slack with some banter cuz it makes it fun.

I am here to help in any way I can. Even if that involves childish behavior on my part.

I apologize for my poor behavior.......NOT! :D
