Ok i know it is probably a question that gets asked alot BUT i need the answer . I have a pretty cool setup condensor mic , tiny compressor, tiny tube mic thingy got some software to work with . Now here is the question I HAVE GOT THE FUZZZ there is this fuzz noise on everything im recording and i cant get rid of it . well im sure with the tools i have to work with i could but it sounds to me like the speakers are turned WAY up and the music way done . Some one help me out i pretty new to the recording side of music .

Enter The Loco

Sound Card ?
Settings on card ?
Settings in software ?

well man i really dont know the recording isnt being done on the computer the recording is actually taking place on a condesor mic , presonus compressor presonus tubepro , monster cable , into a superscope cd recording system . im told it could be cable noise but i have pretty good cables it is just this fuzz noise on all my recordings it exsists on all recording ive done. not really a fuzz more like you turn a mic on and the speaker way up and that is what it sounds like

Possibly clipping the mixer, a device in your audio chain or the recorder. That would be my first area to investigate--the 'gain chain'.

ok thisz may be getting annoying but do you think you could explain the gain chain and i have no mixer at all just condensor-tubeamp-compressor-recorder any advice on the setup would be nice too what do i need and so forth .

I'll take a stab at it. You probably don't have phantom power for the mic. It is available on the Presonus TubePre. Just make sure you have it switched to on.
