I am recording backing tracks and vocals through a mixer to my Sony Mini Disk, but have not yet managed to then record from Mini Disk to CD. Please can anyone help me? I thought that I could just connect my Mini Disk to my PC and burn, but h

No,

That's the thing about minidisk. Unless you have a HiMD minidisc recorder, the only way you can get your minidisc-recorded songs on a CD is to go through the line-out of your minidisc and into an A/D converter of some sort. The downside is you have a generational loss of audio-quality. But I've done it and it really doesn't sound so bad.

HiMd

I have a Sony HiMd mini disc, so will I be able to do it?

bump,me having the same problem, hope someone here knows a solution for this

As long as you recorded the tracks in real time onto the minidisc using an analog input, and it is a Hi-MD recorder, you should be able to do that just fine. I've done it.

Yo Jumping G:

Here is an easy way to get your MD tracks to CD.

After you balance and tweak your MD tracks, mix them down.

Next, take the mixed track and pipe it into a DAW or your PC.

Next, convert the piped in track into a stereo track on your DAW or PC.

Last, burn the stereo track to CDR or RW.

Easy and it should work fine.
