hi everyone,
i have just purchased 2 xt20's and being very new to recording I'm not sure whether to record at 20 bit 48k or 20 bit 44.1k.
could someone please enlighten me. Hope this is not too dumb a question.

This is just my opinion. There's no right or wrong here. If you intend on transfering your tracks to a DAW, I'd record at 20 bits/ 44.1KHz. If you're going to mix through an analog mixer to mix down, I'd go 20 bit/48KHz.

thanks for the info track rat, I,ll be transferring tracks into digi 001.

Then I'd do the 20/44.1 for sure. The lower sampling rate, IMHO, makes for more managable file sizes and the audible difference between that and 48K, I personally can't hear. The difference between 16 and 20 bits though, I CAN hear and when using plugins and manipulating tracks at the higher bit depth will sound much better. I think.:D
