Recording for under $1000

I want to start recording myself , I play guitar, bass and Midi and sing. I have $1000. I dont have a computer that is fast enough to record on... I want to know what my other options are.I have a blue bird mic, speakers and a power amp as of now. I play mostly indie stuff. Thanks again.

buy a 4track.. not sure how you'd work midi into it, but from where i come from "indie rock" and "midi" usually aren't used in the same sentence.

You will definitely need a mic preamp!
