Hi,
1. How do I hook up my KORG 01W synthesizer to the 2488NEO?

2. What I want to do is create a CD on my 2488 of previously composed music (sequences) created on my KORG 01W synthesizer. What's the best way to do this?

thank you in advance.

OP here - if no one wants to bother answering, can...

... someone please provide a link to a site that can answer my simple question? thanks in advance.

Well you can run the Korg into an amplifier, put a microphone in front of the amp, connect a cord to the mic, plug that into the NEO, assign that input to a track and arm the track and press record.

Or run direct from the Korg to the NEO using whatever audio out the Korg has. Once the Korg is connected, the rest is the same.

Not sure which is best as I know nothing about the KORG 01W.

Okay I found this

Connecting to Audio Equipment
You can play the 01 through your home stereo system. In most cases, you only need to use 1/L (L = left channel) and 2/R (R = right channel). Connect these outputs to a spare pair of inputs on your stereo. Pretty much any input will work except those designated "phono" (which have special filters for turntables or record players). Inputs labeled "AUX", "TAPE IN", or "DISC IN" should work fine.
The 01 output jacks take "quarter-inch mono" plugs. Most stereos have "phono" jacks, often called "RCA" jacks. You probably have a cable with two phono plugs on each end - one red, the other white or black. Get a couple "phono-to-quarter-inch male" adapters, and attach them to one end of the cable.
As a rule, always plug red connectors into the right channel. This is only to help you remember which color goes where at the other end. The "r" in "red" reminds you of the "r" in "right". (If the other cable is bLack, the "L" can remind you of "left".) You will not hurt anything if you don't follow this rule. It just helps avoid mistakes when you're looking at a clump of spaghetti wiring hanging on the back of an audio panel.

So use the quarter-inch mono plugs and plug into any of the NEO inputs, assign that input to a track and arm the track and press record.

Thank you!

Thanks very much for answering my question!

Hmmm, I used to have that Korg synth but never used it on my 2488, I've usually used the 2488's onboard synth by loading the midi file to the song.

Anyway, just plug the synth into a couple of channels, adjust levels and record the tracks in real time.
