I am recroding from my MPC2000xl to cakewalk analoug and I am trying to get the tracks separately recorded onto cakewalk. what is the best way to have each track time up correctly so that on playback they are on.

record some sort of pop or hit at the beginning of each track. then in cakewalk after recording them individually, just line all the tracks up so the pops or hits happens at the same time.
