I was advised by another forum member to record my electro-acoustic both direct and by mic and to mix it. However, I have tried different mic positions and pick up alot of what I can only describe as 'pick noise' (e.g. chink-a-chink-chink) from my playing.

I am recording using a AKF 870 Dynamic Mic (not the best I know).

Any advice.

Regards,
Paul

what kind of guitar? what kind of pick up does it have?

Recording direct if fine, its only the mic recording thats got the problem.

Dynamic mics are not that good for acoustic guitar. Condensors are better for picking up the low end and giving you a smoother high end.
